Today we take a look into the offices of YouTube, the video hosting site that uploads over 24 hours of video every minute.

Since its launch in 2005 YouTube has quickly become the dominant host for video content on the internet, from mainstream music to home video sensations. Recently YouTube has taken action towards becoming the host of more professional content by drawing in names such as Ridley Scott and pledging to bring mainstream movies to the site.

In 2006 Google purchased YouTube to the tune of $1.65 billion. Although the company has had a tough time staying out of the red Google has implemented advertising increasingly in recent months.

The YouTube offices are similar to Google’s in the sense that both have very open floor plans and plenty of social activities and perks for employees. Our personal favorites were the comically over sized putting green and free roaming Segways. Let us know what you think of the offices in the comments below!
